New Site

This is the new Tory Anarchist — pretty much the same as the old Tory Anarchist, but now hosted on its own server (thanks to Mike E.) and with all the freedom that entails. There are a few transitional fixes that are still be worked on, such as the blogroll and a new author bio on the sidebar. They’ll be up soon. In the meantime, posting will soon go on as normal.

For now, I’m sticking with the old Sapphire 1.0 design template. The last time I considered changing it, readers told me not to fix what wasn’t broken. That still seems like the best policy, though on the new server I’ll have more leeway to tinker with things.

I don’t know, I think it’s about time for a template change. Something like http://crookedtimber.org/ would look perfect, I think. If you’re open to it, maybe you could hold a poll.

    Daniel is travelling tonight, server-tamed
I can see his URL, Tory-declaimed
Oh, and - I can see Daniel’s Wordpress goodbyes
Nock, it looks like Daniel - must be his oh-old site’s demise…

They say Rosslyn’s busy, where I’ve lived near, too
Well, Daniel says it’s a stop that he’s just gotta ride Right on through
Oh, and - he should know, he’s seen the Moloch
Nock, we read Daniel - oh, we read him ’round the clock

Ohh, Daniel our blogger, you are bolder than we
Do you still feel the stain, of the state that won’t shrink -
Wordpress has flown, but your field is fresh-mown
Daniel, your Anar- kissed the face of the sky…

Scott is very nearly correct: I wound up spending my evening last night at a fundraiser in Arlington for a Ron Paul Republican. Blogging might be light today, too, as I catch up on a few things at work and then head to Baltimore for the second annual meeting of the Academy of Philosophy and Letters, an organization that Claes Ryn, Paul Gottfried, and a few others (including myself) have put together.

A template change in the not-too-distant future may be in the cards, Xenos. I haven’t made one yet just because I got bored looking through too many pages of garish templates at WordPress.org.

Is RSS working now? It’s a bit of a mystery to me. There’s a button for it in the right-hand column of the main page.
