Anarchy in the USA: Ron Paul and the Sex Pistols on Jay Leno Tonight

I’m on west coast just saw it on satellite. Ron paul did a great job of getting his message through in such a short time. he said, “I tend to lean towards a flat tax… of zero”. I found it erie that they showed a clip of Tom Cruise right before Ron was to come on where the actor states “Iraq is a threat”. Well thats corporate sponsorship for you.

The image of Ron Paul shaking hands with Johnny Rotten might one day be as iconic as Nixon’s meeting with Elvis.
Ron was great and really got to say a lot of substance on Iraq, monetary policy, entitlements, you name it. Quite a contrast to Fred Thompson’s vapidity when he announced his campaign on the show a few months back.

For those who missed it, not only was Paul great in his own segment, but the Sex Pistols performed a powerful rendition of — what else? — “Anarchy in the UK.” “That’s appropriate for you,” Leno said to Paul before the band began. At one point during the song, Johnny Rotten said “hello Mr. Paul,” but then pointed his rear end at him, so it was ambiguous as to whether it was a friendly shout-out, an insult, or an appropriately punk combination of the two. Shortly after that, Rotten said, “When will we get out of Iraq,” and seemed to be posing the question in Dr. Paul’s direction. Again, it was a little ambiguous as to whether this was meant to be friendly or not — Rotten’s mannerisms put a negative spin on it, but then, his mannerisms are meant to put a negative spin on everything. I think, within the bounds of the Sex Pistols’ ethos, it was all intended to show solidarity. Maybe Rotten will talk a bit about it at some point.

My analysis of the Tonight Show appearance:
Ron Paul basically suggested (without directly saying it) to Giuliani that he consider him as a VP candidate.
This was, of course, in the context that RP will run as a 3rd Party candidate if he loses the nomination and is not part of the winning ticket.
Of course Giuliani is not going to be taking Paul as VP, so the 3rd Party run will happen.
When Giuliani sees 5% of Americans polling for Ron Paul next summer, he will have to talk a lot of Libertarian talk to bring the surge down.
The key for us freedom lovers, is to make sure that many of us are then irrevocably inserted into a Giuliani Administration BEFORE the general election.
We have to make sure we remove the Evangelists and the Gender Feminists from power inside the Republican Party BEFORE the general election.
Otherwise Hitlery gets elected and the Republican Party removes the Evangelists and Gender Feminists AFTER the general election.
