Thanks for the link. I like Bill Kauffman for his jeffersonian decentralism and cultural regionalism. A lot of libertarians seem to think that being urbane is the way to go and that modernity is the enemy of tradition. While making the past seem greater than it actually was is not a good thing, making the past realistic isn’t what these people had in mind either. One has to be objective and not just shun the past because the past is not synonymous with backwards.
